On her blog, my friend Annie confesses her desperation: As a freshly arrived volunteer in England her life takes unexpected turns every day. Things happen she (and the more we) would never have imagined happening. Exciting meetings with new people. Funny as well as enlightening adventures with the ‘old’ ones…
But how to convey these? No matter how much we’d love to, as outsiders we will never be able to feel the atmosphere, step into her shoes and truly share Annie’s joys and sadness with her…
Never mind, Annie! To show you how I feel for you (since I’ve often faced the same dilemma), I decided to publish some photos of L.A. people, although most of my friends have never seen them, and only some heard stories about them.
(No point asking the two who have seen some of them what they think about them. They’ve got no idea, /as no doubt Mireille would have said/.)
