To that tall skyline I come...

© Art Garfunkel, A Heart in New York

a skončila v Chinatown. (Někdy sem dám fotku, to se nedá popsat.)

Dík, Álo!
Šla jsem totiž stejnou cestou, kterou Ála chodívá každý den, nejlépe 2x. Do a ze školy.

Yesterday I had a chance to visit New York,
a long time after the first time I was there in 2002.
I took a stroll along Manhattan, starting with Central Park (at times gripping a sharp pencil in my hand in case someone should attack us in the dark) and getting as far as the view over Staten Island and New Jersey illuminated by a firework display.
Finally I ended up in Chinatown (and I have to post here a picture of it one day, otherwise you won't believe).

Thanks, Ála!
What happened was I joined my friend on her way home from the primary school where she teaches.
To be frank, for a moment I envied her. But then again, she doesn't get to see the sunrise over the Prague Castle.
